Types of Care
We are pleased to provide residential care for the elderly and
those with physical disability.
Residents are welcome on either a long stay basis or for shorter
convalescent or respite care - perhaps when a home carer
takes a short break or is unavailable for whatever reason.
Our standard of care is regularly monitored by the Care Quality
Commission (CQC) and we strive to meet our and your highest
standards.
The provision of health and personal care is based upon privacy,
dignity and respect. On admission to the home all residents have a
nutritional assessment based on the Malnutrition Universal
Screening Tool (MUST) to ensure that at each stage of care the best
nutrition is provided. Weight is monitored on an ongoing
basis with referrals being made to specialists if
necessary.
What people have told the Care Quality Commission about
Moreland House Care Home
Residents told us that the food is
very nice and that they are given a choice at meal times. Fresh
fruit is available on a daily basis and drinks and snacks are also
available throughout the day and night. People living at the home
are encouraged to be as independent as is possible, with assistance
being given by the care staff where necessary and appropriate. The
premises are well maintained, clean and free from offensive
odours.
