Types of Care
We are pleased to care for frail elderly with a wide range
of dependency needs.
We are registered to care for the elderly requiring
nursing care, specialist dementia care, end of life care and
recuperative care after surgery.
Residents are welcome on either a long stay basis or for
shorter convalescent or respite care - perhaps when a home carer
takes a short break or is unavailable for whatever reason. Local
G.P. and a Geriatric consultant are able to visit if
required.
Our standard of care is regularly monitored by the Care
Quality Commission (CQC) and we strive to meet our and your highest
standards.
What people have told the Care
Quality Commission about Woodlands
"People told us their privacy and
dignity was respected. One person said, "I had my telephone
installed since I have been in the home and that is six years now
and I can communicate with my family and friends in private and
staff respect my independence." People were involved in making
choices about their care and told us they were asked how they
wanted their care to be provided."
"Talking about the new communication channels we've
introduced in our care homes, one of the residents said, "On Skype
I was able to participate in my daughter's birthday. I was also
able to speak with my sister in USA, which was so good as I have
not seen her for last 20 years"."
